terms of use
last updated September 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ihsan Firdaus ("we", "us"), the developer of Wanci, and they apply to the Wanci app for iPhone and to this website. By installing or using Wanci you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
the licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use Wanci on Apple devices you own or control, under the rules of the App Store. Wanci, its characters, artwork, sounds, and code are ours and protected by copyright. You may not copy, sell, rent, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or make derivative works of the app or its artwork, except where the law expressly allows it.
wanci pro
Wanci is not free to use. After a short onboarding, the app asks you to choose one of two ways to unlock it. Both unlock the complete app, with every character and every feature.
- Wanci Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing monthly subscription with a free trial for new subscribers. Billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
- Wanci Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase that unlocks the app permanently. It does not renew and has no trial.
The price of each product is the one shown on the App Store purchase sheet, in your local currency, at the time you buy. Prices may change. A change to a subscription price is announced by Apple before it takes effect and never applies to a period you have already paid for.
the free trial
The free trial is available once per Apple ID, on the monthly subscription only. Its length is shown on the purchase sheet. It starts when you confirm the subscription in the App Store purchase sheet. You may cancel during the trial and pay nothing. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged the monthly price.
renewal and cancellation
The monthly subscription renews automatically each month and is charged to your Apple ID within 24 hours before the end of the current period, unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before that. You manage and cancel the subscription in your iPhone's Settings, under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. When a subscription lapses, the app locks until you subscribe again or buy lifetime. Nothing you made is deleted.
refunds
Purchases are made through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. If something in the app is not working, write to us first and we will try to fix it.
restoring purchases
A purchase belongs to your Apple ID. On a new device, or after a reinstall, use "restore purchases" in the app's settings or on the purchase screen.
what wanci is not for
Wanci is a timer for everyday things: cooking, laundry, focus sessions, workouts, steeping tea. It is not a safety device. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed or late alert could cause harm to people, animals, or property, including medication schedules, medical procedures, industrial processes, or leaving a stove, oven, or appliance unattended. Notifications depend on iOS, your device settings, and Focus and notification permissions, all of which are outside our control, and a phone that is off, out of battery, or set to silent may not alert you.
your data
Wanci stores your timers and log on your device and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud. We have no access to either. Our privacy policy explains what the app does and does not collect. Keeping a backup of your device is your responsibility. We cannot recover data that was only on your device.
updates and availability
We may update the app, add or change features, or withdraw it from sale. We will try to keep it working on the iOS versions it supports, but we do not promise that any particular feature, character, or device will stay supported forever. If we ever discontinue the app, a lifetime purchase and any active subscription keep working on the version you have installed for as long as iOS runs it.
no warranty
Wanci is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of timekeeping to any standard, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, in which case these exclusions apply to the extent the law permits.
limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Wanci, including missed or late timers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claim about it. Where these terms are silent, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, and where the two conflict for a matter Apple's agreement governs, Apple's agreement prevails. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address with the date at the top. Continuing to use Wanci after a change means you accept it. A change that materially affects a purchase you have already made will not apply to that purchase without your agreement.
